  6.    AmiTEL is a emulation software for the norm Videotex CEPT2 used on
  7. the French network Teletel and by a lot of BBS RTC.
  8.  
  9.    The main originality of this emulator is the fact of its emulating
  10. the main functions of a Minitel M1b in a window using the
  11. console.device. In two words, it's like converting the Minitel Videotex
  12. codes in good ANSI sequences of console.device. By the way, since the
  13. 1.0 version, the emulation of commands CSI and  screen scrollings is
  14. made with the support of the graphics.library and not by the
  15. console.device to make better the graphic interface (keeping original
  16. WorkBench colors) and the speed of the emulation.

  18.    AmiTEL is fully written in asm with AsmONE 2.06 et the user interface
  19. was made with GadToolsBox 2.0c. The sets of fonts were integrated in
  20. the executable file with FontAsm v1.02
  21.  
  22.    The emulator must perfectly work on all configurations with Kickstart
  23. 2.04 or more. The software was written and tested on an Amiga 500/030
  24. (3.1) and tested on an Amiga 500+ (2.04), Amiga 2000/030 (2.1) and
  25. Amiga 1200 (3.0)

  27.    All the things correctly handle by AmiTEL :

  29.    * Background colors and letters (page memory).
  30.    * No-lined semi-graphic letters.
  31.    * ESC and CSI sequences.
  32.    * Positionning.
  33.    * Roll mode (also well with a modem or with a Minitel)
  34.    * Term mode or VT100 mode (80 columns).
  35.    * Double width/height/sized letters.
  36.    * Dialing with a Minitel M2/10/12 or a Modem.
  37.    * Configuration and settings Minitel.
  38.    * Configuration Modem.
  39.    * Configuration Saving Modem/Serial/Colors.
  40.    * Automatic Downloading (compatible BBTPro 2.3 and XPRZmodem).
  41.    * Display the call time with Minitel or Modem states
  42.      connected/disconnected.
  43.    * Display call cost with time discount and saving connections
  44.      journal.
  45.    * Handle a dynamic buffer (8Ko) for viewing the last pages during
  46.      the connection.
  47.    * Handle a phonebook with 20 numbers of servers or Videotex services.
  48.    * Handle ARexx port to do automatic connection on a server.
  49.    * XPR libraries v2.0 full support.
  50.    * Handle all functions keys (Shift, Control, Alt and Amiga).
  51.    * Full english localisation.
  52.    * Cut/Paste with mouse et keyword reconition.
